The True Definition of Soul Mates

It is hard to find people that love you no matter what. I was lucky enough to find 3 of them.

Carrie Bradshaw, Sex and the City

With our daily lives full of lists, deadlines and an ever growing workload, it can be easy for our most valued friendships to take a back seat. Days passing without being able to return a call or email, at times the people we care for the most can become the ones we take for granted most quickly. While it may not be possible to meet with your best friends for happy hour every day, when it comes to maintaining an age old friendship the best motto to keep in mind is, what would Carrie Bradshaw do?

Strutting through the streets of Manhattan in her signature heels and colorful dresses and enduring her fair share of relationship mishaps, Carrie Bradshaw can be considered the ultimate best friend. Through the thick and thin of Miranda’s relationships, Charlotte’s divorce and Samantha’s cancer, Carrie is just a hop, skip and phone call away from rescuing her friends with reassuring advice, a hug or shopping trip. While for most, our best friends are not our next door neighbors, the distance and time passing between each visit seem best filled with sweet notes, “thinking of you” text messages and care packages. And as Carrie Bradshaw always reminds us, life’s best accessory is our best friends.
